About Us

The arrival of thousands of Polish Migrant workers to the Ipswich area has created a need for a focal point and hence the establishment of a Polish Social and Cultural Centre: The Ipswich Polish Club.

This will allow these people to meet, socialise and is vital to encourage their integration into the community. Coupled with the need to learn the English language it will also provide them with an identifiable base where they will feel comfortable with a feeling of ‘home from home’. As the time passes by and the need to ‘settle in’ is increased, wives, husbands, partners and entire families will be at ease to integrate with our society, learn our culture and reciprocate by adding a vast input to our economy. A club which will boast of pod facilities providing advice in legal and community matters, financial and employment support and all general matters will allow them to have all this in relaxed surroundings with a buffet-restaurant bar area with a friendly atmosphere. We believe that without this facility a situation of instability and reluctant desire to remain may arise. These people have so much to offer and therefore should be welcomed and supported in their presence here.
