healthy body - in polish

Healthy body – healthy mind!

Moving to another country can be challenging. The stress of emigration along with the loss of the close bond with family and old friends, as well as the difficulties in adapting to a different culture and language can prove to be a lot to take on. Our emotions are tested and we might sometimes struggle with everyday life. If we feel low emotionally for a longer time, getting back on track can be difficult.
Do you sometimes feel that life has become really hard? Do you identify yourself with some of the below statements? Or maybe you noticed such symptoms in your friend or a family member?
Do you often lack energy or feel particularly tired?
Do you feel close to tears over small events?
Do you avoid talking or being with people or doing things you usually enjoy?
Do you find it hard to cope with everyday things?
Do you struggle with your sleep? Have you lost your appetite or maybe eat more than usual?
Do you use alcohol or drugs to cope with feelings?
Do you constantly worry about everything?
Do you often feel restless and agitated?
Do you feel panicky, experiencing the tight, knotty feelings in your stomach and/or chest pains or other physical symptoms?
Are you angry and impatient with people close to you?
Is your self-esteem low?

If several of the things listed above describe you or a friend or a family member then it might be worth considering getting help and support.
It can be a friend, a work colleague, or a family member – someone you can trust, someone that will listen to you. There are also local services which specialise in bringing help and support for those who struggle in everyday life. These can offer solutions to problems which in turn leads to a much happier life.
You might feel afraid, uncomfortable or embarrassed to start with; however, once the initial contact is made it becomes much easier to deal with problems.
Many people find talking to someone else is the best way to get help.
If you feel like you might benefit from help – please call us on ………….. We are a group of advisors who speak Polish and who will be able to offer free of charge, confidential and impartial support you need. You can call anytime and you are welcome to leave a message – we will call you back.
